Who May Serve as Proxy
Proxyholders are limited to members only. Owners cannot designate a nonmember friend, relative or attorney to attend membership meetings. Members can only designate other members of the association as proxies. The Davis-Stirling Act does not require that members be in good standing to be proxies, only that they be members of the association. Civil Code §1363.03(d)(1)(A).
