Money Market Accounts
Unlike money market funds or mutual funds, a money market account is a type of savings account offered by banks and credit unions. Like other savings accounts, money market accounts are insured by the Federal government. They generally pay higher interest than regular savings accounts, have higher minimum balance requirements, and only allow limited withdrawals per month.
