QUESTION: If an association divides dues pro rata, are special assessments divided the same way (equally), if the documents do not specify?

ANSWER: If special assessments are to be assessed by square footage or by some other formula, the CC&Rs will describe the method. If the documents are silent as to the allocation method, everyone pays equally.
