Partner Laurie Poole spoke at the CAI-Orange County Chapter January Educational Luncheon program titled “Insurance Unmasked: The Truth About Insurance.” This insightful presentation helped define terms and responsibility of HOA insurance policies, address when to file claims, the interplay between CC&Rs and insurance, and considerations for rising insurance rates.

Partner Laurie Poole moderated a panel discussion at the 2023 CCAL Law Seminar titled “Women in Community Association Law: Exploring How Far We Come and Where We Need to Go.” The discussion explored today’s perspectives and real-world advice on topics including leadership, mentoring, work-life balance, biases women attorneys experience, advancing long-term careers in community association law, and more.

CAI’s College of Community Association Lawyers (CCAL) presented Co-Managing Partner Laurie Poole with a crystal gavel at the 2023 Law Seminar in New Orleans in recognition of her role as President of the CCAL Board of Governors in 2022. During her tenure as President, CCAL addressed two important initiatives: attorney wellness and the advancement and inclusion of women in community association law. Congratulations Laurie!
