FAIR HOUSING ACT

Title VIII of the Civil Rights Act of 1968 is known as the Fair Housing Act. The Fair Housing Act makes it illegal to discriminate in housing related transactions on the basis of race, sex, religion, national origin, color, families with children, or the disabled. Other statutes include, but are not limited to, Government Code §12955 and Civil Code §§51-52.
